Second Announcement
Dear all alumni and friends:
Rain is predicted for this coming Sunday. We will hold the alumni
association spring celebration indoors in NanHai Arts Center in Milbrae. The current
President of Peking University, Professor Chen Jia-Er, will be with us for the
celebration.
Time: noon to 3pm. Lunch and drinks provided.
Cost: $6 / adult; $3 / child; Free for very small children.
Direction to NanHai: 510 Broadway, Suite 300, Millbrae, CA
94030. From both 101 and 280: Get off Milbrae Avenue and head toward El Camino Real and
Milbrae Town Center. NanHai Arts Center is across the street from a Wells Fargo Bank
Branch. Broadway runs parallel to El Camino immediately west of it.
First Announcement
The PKU spring cook out will be held in the scenic Cayote
Point Municipal Park in San Mateo, at noon, on March 14,
1999.
The cost per person is $6.00 (free for small children).
In addition, the Park Service charges $4.00 entrance fee per vehicle.
To help us better organize the event, your RSVP is appreciated. Please
do not reply directly to this message. RATHER, send your message, specifying the number of
people in your party coming to the event, to
pku_alumni@hotmail.com.
In case of unfavorable weather condition, the event will be held
indoors in Nanhai Arts Center in Milbrae. (In such an event, a separate announcement of
the change will be made ahead of time. Please stay tuned.
Direction to Cayote Point Park: Take 101 to Peninsula exit. The park is
immediately east of the highway (by the Bay). It borders the city of Burlingame and the
city of San Mateo.
