Peking University Alumni Association Summer Picnic and Annual Election
Dear alumni and friends:
Am I remembering it right that the two great traditions at Peking University are:
to have fun and to do it in a democratic way?
Let us kick off the summer with an outdoors celebration. This is also the time to
excersize your democratic right: to elect the association officers and to run for offices
yourself.
The PKU summer cook out and annual election will take place from 10:30am to 3pm, on June
12, 1999, in the scenic Cayote Point Park in San Mateo.
The cost per person is $8.00 (free for small children). In addition, the Park Service
charges $4.00 entrance fee per vehicle.
To help us better organize the event, your RSVP is appreciated. Please do not reply
directly to this message. RATHER, send your message, specifying the number of people in
your party coming to the event, to pku_alumni@yahoo.com.
Direction to Cayote Point Park:
The park is immediately east of the highway (by the Bay). It borders the city of
Burlingame and the city of San Mateo. From south: Take 101 to Peninsula Ave exit and go
east till park entrance. From north: Take 101 to Poplar Ave exit, turn right on Humboldt
St., turn right on Peninsula Ave, go east over the bridge, keep going till park entrance.
