E-Commerce Seminar


We are pleased to announce that Mr. Joseph Tong, CEO and co-founder of MeetChina.com, will speak on the rapid growth of business-to-business e-commerce in China at the Stanford Graduate School of Business onThursday, Feb. 3, at 6:30pm.

MeetChina.com, China's leading B2B e-commerce company, is focused on facilitating trade between China and US via the Internet. The company provides a comprehensive platform for sourcing, online price settlement, and fulfillment services for global buyers purchasing from Chinese manufacturers. In recent weeks, MeetChina.com has been featured in publications such as the Wall St. Journal, Newsweek, Business Week, the E-commerce Times, and Time Magazine as one of theleaders in China's Internet boom.

Mr. Tong will share his vision of the current and future development of e-commerce in China and China's place in the Internet economy, as well as how China's proposed entry into the World Trade Organization will impact e-commerce in China's import and export sectors.

Mr. Tong will also discuss how to take advantage of Internet technology in China today, and
how to leverage experience in Silicon Valley as the Internet expands into new, developing markets.

Joseph Tong
CEO, Co-founder. Mr. Tong has over eleven years of China experience in marketing, management consulting and international trading. Prior to MeetChina.com, Mr. Tong also worked as a Management Consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton (US and Hong Kong) and as a Corporate
Finance Manager at Ford Motor Company (Detroit), focusing on China market. Mr. Tong also worked as a senior executive with SEG, a leading electronic manufacturer and international trading company listed in China and Hong Kong. Mr. Tong holds an MBA degree in Finance and Marketing from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and BS / BA degrees in Mathematics and Economics from NanjingUniversity.
