We are excited to have Ming LEI to give us a seminar on Oct. 30th, 2004.
The first part of the seminar will be an overview of the high tech
opportunity in China, especially in Internet and wireless. The second
part will be a case study about Baidu and the search engine market in
China.

This event is co-sponsored by Peking University Alumni Association of

Mr. Ming LEI's Bio:

Mr. Lei is currently a MBA student at Stanford Graduate School of
Business, and he just spent a summer at Ignition, a VC firm in Seattle.
He also serves as VP at Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at
Stanford.

Prior to Stanford, Ming was an executive for over 3 years at Baidu, the
largest Chinese search engine in the world. As the chief architect and
director of technology, Ming led the engineering team to develop the
best Chinese search engine, which ranked top 10 global portals by Alexa
and accounted for about 50% online Chinese search market (Google China:
30%). As the assistant to CEO and director of product marketing, he
coordinated departments to revise the strategy of search advertising,
contributing to 10 times customer growth in one year and
leading Baidu to attain profitability.

Ming holds M.S. and B.S. with honor in Computer Science from Peking
University.
