PKUAANC 2006 Annual Meeting – Tea Talk, Dinner, and Music Night

Peking University Alumni Association of Northern California (PKUAANC)
will host a party for its 2006 annual meeting on Saturday, September
16, 2006, at Dragonwell Pan Asian Bistro (1101 Elko Drive, Sunnyvale,
CA).

- Tea Talk led by Ms. Susan Chen
- Annual Report
    - Election of Board of Directors
    - Buffet Dinner

You and your family are warmly welcomed to enjoy the tea, the food, the music and have a relaxing Saturday evening. You will meet up with old friends and make new friends. If you are an alumnus, you will cast your vote on the PKUAANC board and voice your opinions on our activities in the past and the future. 
 

In addition, as a gift to our alumni friends, we have prepared copies of "Original PKU Campus Songs" (“未名湖是个海洋”—北大原创音乐二十年).  We just hope our alumni friends to have a great Saturday afternoon with us.

2006 Board of PKUAANC Election, September 16, 2006
 
Dear alumni,
 
It is time for us to elect directors of the Board of PKUAANC. The
election will be held on September 16 during our annual meeting by all
attending alumni.
 
The qualifications of a candidate are as follows:
 
1) Studied, or worked at Peking University (including the former
Beijing Medical University);
2) Has been a volunteer and worked in past events for PKUAANC;
3) Accepts and follows the PKUAANC Bylaw;
4) Has endorsement of nomination from 5 PKUAANC members (excluding the
candidate him/herself), including at least one current Board member or
Executive Committee leader.

1) Name and contact info (email and/or phone number) of the candidate
 
2) Name and contact info (email and/or phone number) of the people who nominate the candidate

The nominee needs to prepare a brief introduction of himself/herself
about:
 
1). Who he/she is,
 
2). What he/she has done and what is his/her plan for future contributions to PKUAANC,

The Board Directors have a three-year term. Board Directors who were
elected in 2004 and 2005 will stay on the Board.
 
For those who have not worked in PKUAANC, we warmly welcome you to join
our team as Executive Committee members or event-by-event volunteers.
We have a tradition of organizing great events with helps from our volunteers. Only with the team work of all our volunteers (including those in the Board and Executive Committee) can PKUAANC grow stronger and better serve our alumni.
